Dear Awesome and Children to Come,
On Sunday, 13 April 2025, I sat under the teaching of Ven. Oliver Ofoegbu, a preacher visiting from Nigeria, who delivered a stirring Palm Sunday sermon titled “Hosanna: Save Us, Lord!” based on Luke 19:28–44.
Ven. Ofoegbu reminded us that everything written in Luke was fulfilled that day. Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King of Kings, and from verse 28, we see divine intentionality:
- Whatever God wants, He sends people.
- No matter how remote, there is nothing God doesn’t know.
- Jesus knew about the young colt.
- He knew it was tied and exactly where it was.
Does this not excite you?
- No matter how small you feel,
- No matter how remote your situation,
- No matter the distance—God knows about you.
Whether it’s your job, your health, your family, or personal struggles—He sees it all. You may not know the way out, but the Lord knows. He is Lord over all things.
If you truly know this Lord, there’s nothing too precious to surrender to Him. Your position, your possessions—they’re all gifts from His grace. And when the Lord needs them, you’ll surrender them willingly.
You may be a career person, military personnel, in the media, a daughter, a son—the Lord needs you.
How many of us can say, “It’s by God’s grace that I’m here”?
We have survived assassins, accidents, and COVID—yet here we are. Others were more careful, but they didn’t make it.
Surrender yourself. Ask God to use you.
At times like these, God looks for worthy vessels. Say to Him:
“Lord, here I am. I give myself—my time, my talent, my silver and gold. Help me hear Your voice and obey.”
As Jesus moved toward Jerusalem, people placed their clothes before Him and cried, “Hosanna!” They honored Him as King of Kings.
No matter how mighty or wealthy a person is, a time will come when they see their own helplessness.
Money cannot buy life.
Stop relying on what you have—it will fail you. But Jesus? He never fails.
Stop bottling up your struggles. Stop pretending you don’t need help from God. Let nothing stop you from praising Him.
Everything Jesus did fulfilled prophecy—just as Revelation 7:9–12 describes.
We were challenged:
“How many times have you ministered to your friends?”
If not you, who else will?
Let this be our prayer:
“Forgive me, Lord, for my laziness, disobedience, and lukewarmness. Have mercy on me.”
